Its the first thing I would do if I were painting John&amp;#39;s car. The top would be an area difficult to reach and work on, equally hard to inspect or view. Ergo a simple design, some busywork that would look OK at eye level. They are both made up of hundreds of photographs.  You just touch them, and they open up to show separate pictures and then, even, you can touch the pictures and get the detail of each and every one. I spoke with the Manager of Natural Hi...</title><content type='html'>Hello Judy,&lt;br /&gt;I spoke with the Manager of Natural History, and fellow blogger, Kelly Sendall and he said the museum has been acquiring specimens for its natural history collections since 1886. The specimens you see in our exhibitions have come to the museum in a variety of ways. In the past curators went out to hunt and trap animals for their collection. Our scientists still collect specimens,for research purposes not display, following strict conservation guidelines and employing humane techniques.We also get animals from members of the public who bring in animals that have died accidentally on the road or their property. I also was surprised and now informed on one of the roles of the RBCM. It gives me a new respect for our curators who fib at &amp;quot;Artifact or Artifiction&amp;quot; - it&amp;#39;s harder than it looks. The picture I posted is a platen press. This press is from the 1750s and came to BC in 1856 and was used in different areas around the province to print newspapers until the 1890s. This press uses a plate instead of a roller to press paper to inked letters.
